This term, our student performance evening will be back at our comfortable and cosy venue, Kindred Studios. All student groups will perform the pieces they have been learning throughout the term, including our epic Sinté with dundun dance, dance and a huge drumming ensemble! Will we fit on the stage…? It remains to be seen. Audience members might well find themselves in the middle of the show!

We will also see drum and dance performances by students of Nii Kpakpo Addo (aka Freddy!) and Kofi Kunkpe.

Following this, we have Marabou, which is an Afro-inspired band put together by Simon Lewis. These guys provide exciting dance music which takes you on a journey through polyrhythm and beautiful melodies. We’re very fortunate to have Bortier Okoe (Adelaide) down in Melbourne for the gig, and also master drummer Kofi Kunkpe.

These events are always a huge success. Make sure you come and join our party!
