On Saturday 15th May our djembe, dance and dundun dance students performed for Federation Square’s ‘Buddha’s Day and multicultural festival’. Thank you to all involved.

Since 2015, Melbourne Djembe has been a regular feature of Buddha’s Day & Multicultural festival. Students are invited to perform on the main stage at Federation Square 3.30pm on Saturday 15th May.

Dundun dance video project
It’s time for a new video! Next block Mitzi will be teaching a choreography in dundun dance class which will be will filmed and edited into a video, combined with footage from others around the world who will learn the same dance.

Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the end of this 5-week block of classes! Student performances and special guest performance by The Vivid Sisters bellydance troupe. BYO picnic.

On the 25th September we held a Zoom talent show to keep the community connected during lockdown. We has singing, drumming, piano, ballet, poetry, visual art, Auslan, magic, storytelling, Kora/Karate and even a cat castration!!

Jerusalema video clip
The song Jerusalema by Master KG has gone absolutely viral. Everyone is creating their own video clips doing the dance – we thought we would do an iso version! All welcome.
