Mohamed Bangoura came to Melbourne (from Sydney) to run a day of drumming and dance workshops. Mohamed is a griot from Guinea, West Africa, and he is one of the most celebrated African drummers residing in Australia. Mohamed is best known for his drumming skills but he is also an excellent dancer.
This time he taught Tiriba in the dance class and Lamba in the advanced drumming class.
Mohamed has a playful teaching style but his classes are always a challenge. Left me feeling sore the next day anyway!
