All of our drum and dance students are invited to perform at Federation Square for Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival!

For this performance, we will all perform Sinté – an initiation dance for young people which comes from the Nalu people in Boké (lower Guinea). We will begin with dun dun dance, then our beginner and intermediate djembe students will accompany all of the African dance students. This is going be an epic show! If you want to be involved, all you need to do is turn up to any of our classes at the beginning of Term 2 (only 5 classes to prepare…)
There are many other performances happening on this day, plus food stalls, arts and crafts and interactive workshops. These include:
- Tai Chi demonstration
- Vegetarian cooking demonstration
- Tea cup painting
- Guided meditation workshops
- Taste of Asia – vegetarian food fair
And it’s all free!
