Since 2015, Melbourne Djembe has been a regular feature of Buddha’s Day & Multicultural festival – a celebration of Buddha’s birthday and the diversity of our multicultural and multi-faith society.
Drum, dance and dundun dance students are invited to perform on the main stage at Federation Square at 3.30pm on Saturday 15th May. We will learn the performance pieces in class starting from 17th April.
Buddha’s Day is a free, family-friendly 2 day event; Buddhist Ceremonies, arts, music, cultural performances, social and spiritual wellbeing lectures, world peace prayers, blessing ceremonies, children’s activities and an array of vegetarian food.
