Recently our Ghanaian colleague and friend Fred Nii Addo lost his mother. This event is a tribute to her. It will feature Melbourne Djembe student performers and host of other wonderful bands.
A message from Fred:
I cordially invite families and friends to join me to morn, acknowledge and appreciate my mum and all women around the world. My mother was everything for me. She discovered my talent and I have lost her, it is the most special moment. One Spirit Africa, will be the host band for this event. They will be performing with an epic energy and beautiful songs of acknowledgement to mother nature and to uplift the spirits of all.

Asante Beats – The band takes you on a magical journey of Funk, Jazz and Percussion, inspired by ancient rituals and honoring ancestral values.
Melbourne Djembe – Students Drum and Dance Performance. They bring you the best in West African drum and dance entertainment.
Ras Jahknow – Inspiring and uplifting Reggae Band.
Wala means Life – An exciting fusion of traditional and contemporary West African rhythms, instruments and harmonies with vibral cultural dancing with energetic inspiring performance.
There will be food and drinks available at the venue on the day.
