One of Australia’s most unique musical talents, Miriam Lieberman, is set to launch her stunning new album Full Circle with a national tour including a show at The Caravan Music Club, 5th February 2017 for an afternoon show.
The launch concert is set to enchant audiences. Lieberman plays with her trio – violinist Lara Goodridge (FourPlay/Baby et Lulu) and bassist/singer Liz Frencham, who add sublime string arrangements and lush vocal harmonies.
With Full Circle Lieberman and her trio have seamlessly fused the lilting harmonies of the kora – a 21-stringed West African Harp – with classical strings and a western folk/pop sensibility. Lieberman’s rich, soulful voice takes her audience through an exploration of love, feminism and the different shades of human experience.
The result is a beautiful, exotic musical journey from Sydney’s seascapes to the bustling streets of Mali and beyond.
The talented song-writer’s last album, Birds of the Moon, was critically acclaimed both in Australia and overseas, receiving radio play on Radio National and Triple J and becoming a finalist in the Australian Independent Music Awards.
The trio has toured extensively at major festivals and events around Australia including Woodford Folk Festival, The National Folk Festival, and Global Rhythms.
The new album also features Josh Shuberth in the dual role of producer and multi-instrumentalist.Shub

“Something of a renaissance woman… Somehow she achieves the almost impossible in blending patterned western-ed pop writing with the earthy mystique of African rhythms and freaky world instruments.” – Sydney City News
