Senegalese dancer Awa Sonko ran a single workshop in Melbourne on 13th December and blew us all away with her vitality, grace and depth of knowledge.
End of an era at Brunswick South PS
Mitzi and Simon have said their final goodbye to teaching drum and dance at the Brunswick South PS venue after 16 years and approximately 1800 classes!

Sweet mamas have a new home
The sweet mamas are moving up in the world! We have found a lovely new studio in Brunswick with climate control, car parking and a new green space across the road for post-class lunching.

Instruments on their way from Guinea!
During her visit to Guinea in February, Mitzi organised the dispatch of 120 instruments which are currently in transit. Stay tuned for their imminent arrival!
Buddha’s Day performance pics
For our seventh year, we performed at Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival on the main stage at Federation Square. It was an epic show with all djembe students, dundun dance and two African dance classes performing together.
